From assessment to certification
Versa certification ensures that the person who makes the decision whether to grant or refuse certification, extend or narrow the scope of certification, invalidate or renew certification is qualified to do so and that he is not the same person who performed the audit.
Before making a decision on whether to grant or refuse certification, expand or narrow the scope of certification, invalidate or renew certification, the following factors must be reviewed:
-
That information from the audit team is adequate and is in accordance with the certification requirements and scope of certification
-
All recorded deviations have been corrected and measures have been taken to prevent further deviations
-
Have a plan from the customer to correct the comments and how to prevent them from happening again
The person who makes the decision on certification should base his decision on the following information that the person receives from the auditor:
-
The audit report
-
Notes on discrepancies and, where applicable, corrections and improvements made by the customer
-
Information that the certification body received from the customer when he applied for an audit
-
Confirmation that the objective of the certification has been achieved
-
Commentary on whether to grant or deny certification, along with any comments or findings that emerged during the audit process
